It would seem so. He was a 2021 high school graduate. Spent the 2022 year/season at Eastern Florida State College, then transferred to Miami. Redshirted in 2023. He has/had a year of college eligibility left - we (and the Phillies?) were misled by MLB's listing him as a "senior," which he was, academically, but with eligibility remaining.
I can't imagine the Phillies expect (or expected) to sign Logan Dawson away from BC with $240,000. Maybe they will, but I think not. Between NIL money, and just his desire to go to BC... that's not life-changing money. (Keep in mind, after taxes - he lives in New Jersey! - and after whatever his representatives get, it's not $240k any more.) For that amount, the kid's better off at BC, and he could be looking at something much more attractive in three years.
