I thought people would be talking about Siriani’s end of game decisions. With two minutes and change left throwing incomplete passes on second and third down preserving the packers time outs was a choice. Should Hurts have taken a sack on second down? Throwing a long bomb on a night Hurts was not sharp on fourth and eight when a pooch punt makes it much easier on the defense was a choice. Calling timeout when the packers had to rush the kicker to the line on a long FG attempt was a choice. Great game by the defense, i was surprised they kept cooper in the nickel but he is so good at the line of scrimmage i get it. Phillips looked good. Ojomo getting better every game. Wish they would throw the ball to Brown and let him make plays, it’s crazy how few targets he gets this year. Smith made the play on the TD catch on an under thrown ball. I hope lane Johnson is ok, OL is really banged up this year. Glad to see Nolan smith back, and i think Nakobe Dean is a smart playmaker. Mitchell going to the tent on the first series scared me too.

I actually did see some of the game. I thought the first drive was very good, but it sucks that Hurts fumbled. After that... it was horrible for the offense. The play calling is so obvious and someone should get fired despite the Eagles record.

AJB isn't targeted because he doesn't try half of the time. Right now he's just a decoy.

Yes, slim made a nice play for the TD, but it was barely underthrown and shouldn't Hurts be throwing that ball so his skilled receivers can make that play?

It was a horrible game, but they won so it wasn't all bad.

The end-of-game play calling was indeed baffling. I would think there's plenty of talk about that on the radio this morning.

The Packers punted when they were 5 yards further away from the end zone than the Eagles were when they didn't punt near the end of the game, the Packers punt was the one that was just barely a touchback, then the Eagles went 80 yards in 4 plays.

If the Eagles had punted late and it's a touchback it only would have cost the Packers 15 yards, I guess that was the thinking, might as well try to ice the game.

The punt choice didn't bug (or puzzle me) as much as the passes. I guess the idea was Packer would be loaded up against the run but I felt like they could get 8 yards on 3 plays if they could get to 4th and 2 or 4th and 1.

But hey, it all worked. That touchback was a huge break and so was the last play (even if the penalty wasn't needed).

The Packers asking for a safety on the punt touchback was a sign that these teams might not be well coached.

Sorry... I don't think the Eagles did anything wrong on that play.

The failed play to Brown, I think the Packers might have known that was coming, the Eagles have run that exact play, meaning a deep throw to Brown on 4th down several times including in the Super Bowl with that horrible offensive pass interference call. Maybe the Eagles will put that play in the scrap heap now that there's a book on it.

I think going for it was the right call, but you should have a pass play that is a pretty high percentage to get 6 yards--the point made above is a good one that once you use the ‘go’ play in the Super Bowl EVERY team has a book on it and knows it’s coming.

They need a start-of-game play script that gets AJ the ball 4 or 5 times in the first 15 plays or so. We need to get him interested... That is part of the coach’s job, to maximize the performance of your best players...it’s not just on AJ.

IMO... and it may be false... but the Eagles have already tried to placate AJB. He's a diva and isn't interested in what the team is doing. If you want the ball, then you need to play hard regardless of where the ball is going.

Agree, But don’t cut off your nose to spite your face. AJ’s “diva’ behavior is the problem, but the coaches need to fix the problem, not just say “stop being a diva.” A very high percentage of elite NFL receivers have ‘challenging’ personalities.

Brown needs involvement all game long to be interested, but he did make a good block on the Barkley pass before the Smith touchdown. In 2022, when both Brown and Smith went for 1,000 yards, they threw the ball a lot more, even though Sanders ran for 1,000 yards it was still a pass first offense. With Barkley, the focus is more on the run and Brown maybe doesn't fit as well as Smith does in that style of offense, but with his pedigree, I do think it is the Eagles offensive staff to have more set plays for Brown, Smith can make athletic plays, Brown can too but would benefit more from scripted plays, more slants, timing routes, etc...

I actually thought it was handled fine (outside of him missing multiple weeks leading up to the trading deadline). He was a decoy. He drew some safeties towards him even though he wasn't trying. He did block well on the one long play (Saquon?)

A lot of QBs have challenging personalities, but Hurts doesn't seem to have a problem winning even if it means he doesn't have top tier stats.

AJB is an ass. I'm sure they would get rid of him if they could.

The problem is that AJB doesn't do timing routes. He has regularly broken off a route because he saw something and left Hurts out to dry. He's a great talent, but not really a great football player.

So he only bothers to block after a big play might occur? It's not unfair at all.

Saquon did all the work here. AJB had a mediocre block at best for the long run.

Do people still believe that AJB isn't a narcissist that only cares if the ball isn't being thrown his way? Yes, I know that diva WRs do this, but this is a next level. The team has a job to do... you are like the 10th most important player on the team.
