The Broncos are good. I still thought the Eagles might beat them after a brutal schedule to start the season. The NYG loss is tough to swallow, but given the injuries I almost expected it.

CJGJ was released by the Ravens. Kind of funny that for a week the Ravens had both Kenyon Green and CJGJ on their practice squad at the same time, the two players traded for each other between the Eagles and Texans. At the time, looked like it could be a terrible trade for the Eagles, but right now looks like an insignificant trade for both parties.

Why are there AJ Brown trade rumors? Doesn’t his contract suggest that the Eagles would be sacked with $90m in dead money if the move him? Isn’t that enough to say no chance he gets traded over the next two years? Eagles would have to reset the roster if they did that.

Nice win, but that Skattebo injury was gruesome. I was reading and when I looked up his ankle was definitely pointing in the wrong direction. While being carted off, he did not seem to be in obvious pain. Adrenaline must be a wonderful thing…

I broke and dislocated my wrist in middle school... and had to wait hours for the ambulance. Yes, adrenaline is nice and I didn't have the pain meds that skattboo likely did 5 minutes later.

The Philadelphia Eagles traded for some much-needed cornerback help Wednesday, acquiring Michael Carter II and a 2027 seventh-round draft pick from the New York Jets for wide receiver John Metchie III and a 2027 sixth-round pick, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Carter is exclusively a slot corner, so either he is depth for DeJean when he moves to safety or outside corner and there is another CB trade coming or DeJean is moving outside full time. It should be interesting either way. I guess this could also be decided by how Bennett looks when he comes back.

If the Eagles let him walk after this year, it turns a late 3rd in 2026 into an even later 3rd in 2027. Edge rushers with potential get good contracts even with an injury history. Not such a bad thing when you have three 3rds.

There is very little downside to this move beyond limiting your ability to replace him via free agency (and cancelling the comp pick), which seems unlikely to be the Eagles move in 2026 anyway.
