Tonight's Phils game is yet another opportunity to see if you are a glass half full or half empty kind of person. Half full-- the pitching through ten innings was brilliant and the staff and pitching coach should bask in the glow. Half empty-- the 11th inning is the baseball equivalent of the Little Big Horn and is remarkably redundant and makes all us Phans feel like we are Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. 7 runs? What a way to ruin a nice day! Those half-empty folks must wonder how the Phils can keep paying our pitching coach to remain on staff.
I was born to be an optimist but this mess has finally taken its toll. Get a new pitching coach in here before we all need a National Healthcare System that is unlikely to be passed into law! My pre-existing condition is "fear of late innings". I doubt it will be covered!
