So far the results are 5 NO, 2 Yes (myself being one of those). Normally, I think I would be one of the first to say to stay away from him because of his repeat problems, there is just something about this guy that strikes me as "going to turn it around". He has had multiple arrests and suspensions for alcohol and marijuana, but he has never had any indication of violence or any other crimes (that is actually pretty unusual for guys with his history).
He would fit a HUGE need. I think we have a ton of high character guys on this team (not the least of which are Wentz, Ertz, Jenkins, Cox, etc.) and a rarity, a WR who isnt crazy (Matthews). I think the structure for this guy to find himself is there if he is willing, and reports (albeit from his agent / manager) are that he is currently trying to change his life.
I think a 1-year, "show me" contract would be perfect. Gordon needs it and the Eagles certainly could use his help (and the cap savings from having to go after a premium FA would really help).
