Bradley for Covington would make sense, not Bradley and a late round 1st for Jah/Noel.

As far as Noel and Okafor playing together, that was a 2nd year player, a rookie, no guards who could play defense and a coach experimenting - what we found out is Noel can ONLY play center, which means if Embiid is healthy, he's a backup at $20M per year. Okafor has dropped 20 lbs since last summer, I don't have it but there's a picture of him with Simmons and he looks to be about the same size, he's probably 245-250 lbs these days. If he's continued to improve his shooting range, he could be a credible PF.

If they wont trade those picks then we wont make a trade? Okafor wont be traded for nothing and if he was going to be, he already would have been traded.

This isn't a question of years or anything. Their styles don't fit together and Noel on the court takes away the space that Okafor needs. We didn't find out that Noel could only play center. We found out he can only play center when Okafor is on the court.

Noel can only play center period. He has no jump shot, he has to play under the basket on offense and collect garbage. This also allows his defender to play off him and protect the paint. While he can pass, he has bad hands and shouldn't handle the ball.

We really don't know that much about Jah, he's reshaped his body, has shown an improved jump shot, and has never really been coached up on defense (at Duke they basically told him to avoid fouling out because they wanted him available on offense). At this point, you'd be selling low, with no downside risk by keeping him (he's unlikely to play worse than he did as a 20 year old rookie) but loads of upside potential.

We do know about Noel, he's gotten stronger but still struggles to anchor against physical centers, is not a great rebounder like Thompson or DeAndre, he can run the court and block shots. Offensively he's a negative player. To me, he's the primary trade bait for a number of reasons:

1) his contract status (RFA next year, probably $80M for 4 years to resign)
2) his limited skill package, would be best paired with a scorer like Westbrook so he can focus on defense
3) his current value, could be a key role player for a playoff team

I don't know how to make a deal with the Celtics. Ainge is too insistent on winning every deal. Bradley for Okafor would be an absolute joke. Best I would do is Okafor or Noel and our 2019 first for the Nets pick swap next year. Take it or don't, but that's the offer.

Brown is paid very well to be the coach we all want him to be. Well, here is a much improved roster - make it work as best it can while we continue to gauge what Noel and Oakfor's values are on the market. Embiid is still a huge ? and we have no idea right now where Saric or Simmons are going to play or who will be in the first and second rotations.

Be patient, let things come to you, develop the talent you have now and smile. Oh, and BC please shut up about having to move someone or that the roster is "unbalanced" etc. All that does is give GM like Ainge more ammo/leverage. You are in the driver's seat, you have the talent they want. Get them to pay top value for it. Thanks.

i think what I'm saying is it seems like some are just waiting for him to make what they believe to be a misstep in order to say "we knew it"

The idea we're just going to trade one of the two just for sport and to get them off our roster makes zero sense. If it were the case, it would already be done.

To be far to BC, he's in a tough spot numbers wise, but not salary cap wise.

Noel would be ideal for a GS system with great 3 point shooters where he can run the floor with a small lineup and play defense and rebound, but not be expected to do much on offense. However, right now the Sixers don't have those players, and even if Furkan, TLC and the 1st rd picks develop into those kinds of 3 & D players (and GS probaby has the greatest pair of shooting guards of all time), we're talking 3-4 years down the road.

Do you commit to that vision or to Embiid/Jah as big men who can score in the paint or shoot outside, and gradually surround them with 3 & D guards who don't have to be as good as Curry and Thompson because the team can go inside/out on offense.

IDK how many people expect the Sixers to be a PO next season. A sensible expectation would be a mid twenty win team that is competitive in most of their games. If that is the case, there shouldn't be any rush to move any asset.
NN has strong defensive and board skills. In today's game those talents have a premium value. Like in most sports offensive stats are attractive leaving defensive ones to be neglected. Scores that a player such as NN takes away from an opponent are impactful.

BC has a checkered track record and has made very bad moves as a GM before. There are very valid reasons why people disliked how Hinkie was removed and BC was installed with his father as part of the senior mgmt. It stunk to high heaven and the 76ers were rightfully mocked since anyone could see they caved into the NBA's pressure and put our build process in jeopardy.

That is not bias, that is reality. As I said, IF BC gives one of them away for less than good value, he deserves to get criticized. He has not done it yet and that is good.

How am I attacking you? I think I'm pointing out that your fear seems to be the opposite of whats happening especially since BC said he wasn't giving away any player.

You can judge him on Toronto while ignoring the teams he built in Phoenix. I'm choosing to watch the moves he makes and not be selective of what I don't like from his last stop.

Marshall is gone in August, otherwise his contract is guaranteed at the end of the month.
He's have to have a miracle recovery with that knee to stick around.

It's not his contract but the roster spot.

They're probably doing what they did with TJ last year, come to an oral agreement but don't submit the actual contract until late August so the player doesn't count against the 20 man limit. So they'll wait and see if anyone is interested in trading for Marshall (late 2nd rd pick in future years - a Hinkie special) before cutting him.
