We have Couts, Zegras and Cates at C.
None of these guys are studs and neither is Dvorak. He is depth and protection against injury and non performance by Zegras or even Couts. He is a Tocchet guy so it could also be a way to get players to understand Tocchet's systems from the C position.
Dvorak is a pure C from what I know and a good faceoff guy like Couts.
I'd say they start with:
1C - Couts
2C - Zegras
3C - Dvorak
4C - Cates
If Zegras and/or Couts cannot perform at C, that would change the mix and could give Jett Luchanko a chance to play.
It will be a very fluid position during the season IMO as they test the options and evaluate who are the best fits.
