If I had to guess, then his floating shot/pass on the PP was him not agreeing with what they are doing on the PP and he likely got benched for that.

It actually wasn't a bad play considering the positioning.

He was doing fine on that "bad line" until the POs.
The whole line has struggled, one reason is they're undersized, another is Barkey (20) and Michkov (21) just aren't PO ready.
Foerster has struggled, but he contributes on defense and PK, Michkov doesn't - which is why players need to learn how to play sound, fundamental hockey, when your offense goes South, the HC will still give you minutes if you're not a liability on defense.

TK, Dvorak, Tippett, Zegras, Martone, Couts have been the best forwards.

Yes, but he was also getting 15 minutes before the playoffs. He's also a 0 +- in the playoffs. Not that it's a good indicator because he's not getting any minutes.

PP and PK are obviously important, but not as much in the playoffs because things are called much tighter. It doesn't really matter as Michkov is a PP contributor.
