Well I guess all the people looking forward to a new coach (or president) are screwed now! Crazy how long it's been, and that I guess they've never come back from 3-1? Hard to believe this team just did what the Harden team could not (okay not that hard. Plus of course Boston had no Tatum tonight).

The funny thing is that while I think the young Flyers can walk away from these playoffs happy to have knocked off a hated rival and grown, the Sixers really need to (and can) beat another one here.

Though, man, it's hard to see Joel holding up, as usual. I cringed in fear a bunch of times already in the last 20 minutes.

I agree, I don't have a lot of confidence that Embiid will be able to make it through the Knicks series.

The Joel thing is a double-edged sword no matter what. Guy is a force and they won more games with him than without him but the future of the offensive style remains in question. Hard to change on the fly this year.

Boston had no Tatum tonight

They were without Tatum for most of the regular season, where they still showed themselves to be top-notch team in the East.

What a weird game...Sixers were the better team throughout, and the Boston runs were all based on ref-grifting. Playoff basketball is getting too much like soccer with flopping everywhere. Also, both big Boston runs were while Embiid was resting. Almost wire-to-wire:

Well, back to reality as the Knicks crushed us in Game 1. No one showed up. Hope they were just tired and can bounce back in Game 2.

Celts crushed us twice last series and we manage to win. A 40-point loss is the same as a 1-point loss in the series. Everyone’s legs looked dead or tired; hope we can regain some energy on Wednesday. Still it’s a long series...Nurse needs to make some defensive adjustments on how they react to off-ball picks, etc.

Brunson was allowed to shoot most of his shots without anybody in his face. One hopeful thing is that there's no way the Knicks can keep shooting close to 70%. At one point, it was 69%, and perhaps it had hit 70. By the end, it was 63%. They will regress to the mean.
