This is actually just a community post, AF or any of us would have written something better! Not that it isn't entertaining (nor are the TGP's regular columnists actual reporters). But in the end it's really just throwing every name against the wall, and also filled with nonsense that shows just how weak the market is since most of the people mentioned aren't real options, or even appealing ones in many cases

And why would the Nats give up Curtis Mead, controlled through 2031? And even if they did, how much would that cost? Never mind that they are also just as much contenders as the Phillies right now.
The article would have been more credible if it had been solely about Trout (who goes unmentioned).
