Got to admit that even though the outcome was disappointing for us, this Postseason has been pretty epic.

Though now I have a feeling that the Dodgers are going to roll the field.

I feel like they are going to roll in NLCS, maybe not WS.

Disappointing the Cubs have a longer season than we did. I'm an AL fan this year from here (as a longtime PNW resident and hockey fan with lots of Canadian friends).

Phillies hangover was too much for me to stay up for that game last night though.

That's 30 years ago, z. Where do we draw the line? Do we limit "real" NL clubs to those that predate the 1962 expansion?

I guess I could have put a winking emoji in there. When I think of the Brewers I still think Harvey's Wallbangers and the AL... while others might think of it as an NL city, but not that team.

Whereas I rarely blink at the Astros being in the AL just from watching them so much during this era. I see that cap now and think of '22 more than '80.

The Brewers were originally the Seattle Pilots . Milwaukee poached them in 1970. It would be interesting to see the Brewers play Mariners in the WS.

I hadn't been paying close attention to Brewers-Cubs series. I didn't realize Hoskins was left off Milwaukee's NLDS roster.

Well, the high seed/rested team won every series but ours.

The Dodgers got injured pitchers back and they pitched very well against us. There surplus SP did great in relief against us. They were the better team. Our series demonstrates the need for more top pitchers in the playoffs. If we don't have Suarez back or another top SP, we are short on pitching for next season. Painter will be second year back from surgery and should help at some time. If he is as good as we expect he will be a playoff plus. It's not enough. More pitching still needed.

I know some people who actually still have a beef about the Brewers' move to the NL although, from my perspective, that one wasn't hard to swallow with Milwaukee's prior--albeit shorter by 15 years--NL history. And--yes, I know--you can get technical and add another year of Milwaukee AL history with the original Brewers who were in the AL during the league's inaugural season in 1901 (before moving to St. Louis and become the Browns, now Baltimore Orioles). The Astros to the AL just never felt right.

I have a quirky relationship with the Astros because I lived in Texas for so long and was an original season ticket holder for their AA team outside of Austin. Most of my friends were Astros fans (which made it fun for me to bring up '80), I preferred NL baseball, and Houston was a shorter drive/more interesting place to visit than Arlington. So they became my number 2 team. I didn't like the moving to the AL but with everything that has happened since then (increased interleague play, DH in NL) it doesn't seem like a big deal anymore. And it really has made the Rangers-Astros rivalry far more intense (though that is certainly no reason to start moving the NY or Chicago teams into the same league).

As a kid, the Brewers were my Strat-o-Matic team, and the Orioles, as with a lot of people in our region, were sort of my AL team until '83 got in the way.

I'm pulling for the Mariners to win the AL pennant to a) see them get off the WS schnied and b) I heard plenty of stories from Phillies phans who went to Toronto in 1993 that Jays fans are basically the English soccer fans of baseball and make Philadelphia sports fans look like choir boys.
