If Escobar has an 850 OPS in AAA in the second half with defense that grades well then we can talk about replacing Stott. For now Escobar has had a couple of decent weeks in AA and that is all.
For what it's worth, while DRS has Stott below average so far this season, by Statcast he's been excellent, near the top of the league for 2B.
I also read today that Phillies overall rank well on OAA but poorly on DRS. But - at least WAR-wise - it seems Stott is not so strong defensively to significantly make up for the offense (versus Garcia, for instance). It's all a lot of noise this early in the season (more than usual) I'm sure.
He showed a good feel feel for a short slider/cutter, but the fastball was 89-92. Someone needs to sneak into the yankee complex to learn velocity training.
So Ferrebus off to an awesome start. Hopefully moves up to top half of the top 30 prospect list
Lots to like in that Clearwater offense including a Gabriel Rincones sighting.
