I think they always liked Alfaro a bit more than others. I assume this does not include new draftees. Moniak also probably loses some points on lists like this by playing in an environment that suppresses stats. Though I can also see he has not hit much better away and his speed looks more plus than plus plus.

They agree with me that Hoskins probably slots slightly behind this group (based on age vs level and ceiling for me).

Cornelius Randolph is starting to hit again which just adds to the good news around our system...

Glass half-full with Randolph: He's still just 20 in high-A, he's staying healthy (knock wood), he's taking his walks, showing more power, with a nice run of late he's got the OPS over .700 which is probably about average for an FSL hitter.

Glass half-empty: Strikeouts are way up in addition to the walks and power. For a bat only prospect taken 10th overall in the draft, you're looking for more than .240 avg,, .333 OBP and .700 OPS. Also, the best of the FSL pitchers from 1st half are probably in AA now.

BE, I've been watching Randolph all spring. He got off to a terrible start but, as you indicate, has started to tread water and might start swimming in the second half of the season. It has been said that the Phillies want to challenge their prospects to see if they can fight their way through adversity. CR may make it but for a while I had my doubts.

In their May 11 top 100, BA had Moniak 13, JP 19, Alfaro 32. I don't agree that Moniak has done poorly enough to fall from 13 out of the top 50. I could see him falling 10-12 spots, but any further is unfair if you were that high on him two months ago.
