Slow start to the season records but we are well on the way to repeating as the franchise with the best overall record. Now a total of 15 games over 0.500.

I know records are really not highly important in the minors, but it does say something about the quality of players we have. We don't have many of the AAAA guys spread out throughout our minors, so having actual prospects win games is indicative of a strong system. I really hope we are having conversations of our embarrassment of riches in a few seasons trying to figure out who to keep and who to trade to refresh the system once we get to the next part of the rebuild.

Watson not scored upon in 5 IP, but an inefficiently pitched game, which has his pitch count in the 90s and not going into the 6th -- a bit wild and unable to put away a lot of hitters after getting 2 strikes, just foul, after foul, after foul. I'd call it a very decent start: 4 hits, 3 Ks, 2 walks, FB sitting 91-93,T95. Off-speed stuff needs work.
