It could be less relevant if all the lower-level teams were still playing - and there would be a lot of "TBD" pitchers! As it stands, most of the higher-level clubs seem to have provided that information (the table is straight from the linked "scores" page, except for the info that Steve Potter reported).

I wouldn't have generated this, but we don't seem to be getting the dailys consistently now (I've been too distracted by other things to even check most days to see if Squire has a post up), and I thought this might help keep discussion in a thread with consistent title, as opposed to having several days worth of discussion in a single dated thread.

And of course, it's really only practicable since the minors have gone to the 6-game weekly series, with Monday off days.

Tuesday highlights:

CLW -- another dominant outing from Danny Pulido, 1.1 IP for the win. He’s striking out 11 batters per 9 IP, and hasn’t allowed a HR this season. ERA 1.12. Too many walks, but you can’t have everything...

JS -- Saltiban with a rare 2-hit game, Nori 0/4 with a walk, Steward with his first save after being a starter most of the year. Lefty Ritchie with his third awesome outing for JS after being promoted--dominant at JS after a 6+ ERA at CLW.

Reading -- a Miller lead-off HR, Reyes 2/4 with double, Ricketts with 2 hits. Reyes hit .374 in August with almost a 1.000 OPS, which is hard to do if you never walk.

LV -- Rincones 3/4 with a walk, Crawford 1/4 with a walk, Roljas 2/5, Kemp 1/3 with 2 walks. Crawford, Rojas, and Kemp all north of .300.

Miller was listed as "temporarily inactive," which to me implies not an injury, but that he was away from the team for some personal reason. (Not bereavement, which has it's own list.) I've no idea what specifically.

In other words, life intruded. Life has a way of doing that...

Looks like Clearwater could be our only playoff team. They are 2.5 games behind in the second half standings but that deficit is to Lakeland who won the first half. Next best in the second half makes the playoffs and Clearwater is up 4.5 games with likely 5 to play.

Lehigh Valley on the other hand could end up with the best overall record in the International League and miss the playoffs. They are 7.5 games out and missed the first half title by 0.5 games. Not a big playoff year for Phillies minor league teams as the rookie league teams were all bad.

Did not see a race to the bottom between Nola and Painter as something that would take place this season. Matching a reasonable offer to Ranger not looking like the worst idea.

Alternately, the lesson you take from Nola is not to hand out another market-value long-term contract to another 30 year-old player with even less of a track record (particularly of health and innings).

Finally some pro video of Craig- the slider is as advertised- same hard break as Kierkering but without all the lateral sweep. The plus of being more over the top is some decent 2 seam sinking life in his 95 mph fastball.

Best hitter on the team but below average speed without much projection left. So he'll have to hit for more power to make it.

Rincones showing signs of life over the past month and with Painter, I will be concerned if it carries over to the second half of next year... otherwise, I'm just happy to see him healthy and making starts.

The command and stuff will take a while

Not concerned about Painter, just disappointed. But that's because we thought he was going to be a serious part of the rotation this year, and even a ROTY before the injury. That's all still on the table, just not as quickly.
