Andrew Painter should close for the Phillies for rest of the season.
Mark Appel posted a long twitter thread about his journey. I think we should all read.
Jordan Viars and Hao Yu Lee each homered today also for FCL. Each has been pretty good of late after a somewhat slow start.
Viars has 11 K's and 10 walks...I hope this speaks to some plate discipline.
Haseley hitting pretty well the last week. Wonder if they swap him for Moniak at some point.
Wonder if we'll ever see Williams again. Jankowski on IL too.
A number of players are finishing strong, bodes well for next season. It would be nice to see a few players "break out" and surprise, who was the last prospect to just blow through the system and make a ML splash?
Nola. The position player was supposed to be Kingery. The Phillies haven't been a blast-them-through-the-system organization, either from philosophy or lack of major talents.
Let's give Vierling some props.. He has actually been a difference maker for the parent team.I would play him in Left, if I were Joe. I haven't seen a weakness in his game, though I realize his minor league stats don't reflect this.
Seems Veirling was one of those guys screwed up by the development staff.
