The heart of the "Lehigh Valley" team this year was Hoskins/Alfaro/Williams/Quinn/Crawford/Valentin/Cozens in the field. All of them except Cozens have now been promoted or injured.

Their pitching staff as I mentioned before has basically all been promoted.

If this team does well in the IL playoffs, congrats to Reading and the AAAA guys they signed.

Another season ending "good news" story was the 2 home runs in the final two days of play from 3rd sacker Mitch Walding. While his average was still very pedestrian he put up outstanding power numbers at Reading [25 home runs in a mere 99 games] and might have come close to 40 had he not been injured.

To me the good news was that he appears to be healthy again after what could have been a career threatening inner ear injury. Players careers have been ended after inner ear injuries but Walding not only came back but finished the season with an 11 game hitting streak and the aforementioned 2 home runs. Hope he gets a chance to play with LHV in the playoffs.

Mickey Moniak is slated to stick around in FL after instructs to engage in the #Phillies' strength program, like Tocci has done in yrs past.

I am truly awful at emojis, so don't know whether or not you are trying to be sarcastic, but I think Tocci has improved a lot and the strength program is a big part of that. Ditto for Galvis, although as I recall he also had an encounter with magic vitamins.

Allentown, that emoji is a "winkie", sort of like someone would say something and then wink after it. I was half kidding, half serious. There isn't a whole lot of in-game evidence that Tocci has gotten significantly stronger. His ISO went from .078 last year in CLW to .091 in Reading, a place where hitters often experience a 100 point jump in ISO.
