Anderson, of the unexpectedly high ERA, has thrown 4.2 perfect IP with 5 Ks, thus far. Go Drew!

Alright, I cursed him, he gave up a hit before getting out of the 5th, but engineers don't believe in superstition. Meanwhile, 3 innings in at AAA and we're leading and more remarkably, Crawford, Cozens, and Williams each have a hit -- when is the last time that happened?

Wow, absolutely great starting pitching tonight. Eshelman with a 9-0 lead in the bottom of the 7th, Anderson with a brilliant 7 inning, 10 KO start in a 2-1 win and Taveras continues his outstanding work with 7 great innings in a 2-1 win.

Lakewood looks like the only loser tonight, trailing 5-1 after seven innings and even Falter did well, allowing 3 first inning runs and shutting out Columbia the rest of the way through his 6 inning stint.

One other thing I have noticed and this may be because of the 6 man rotations...the Phils are making an obvious decision to stretch out their starting pitchers recently. This seems like a philosophical choice within the system and is worth watching moving forward.

Just 5 ER in 28 innings between the 4 starting pitchers tonight. Great work!

Anderson is starting to find his groove. each outing he has been getting better. i turned it on the radio just as he started the 5th and gave up a hit and had 2 on. he was struggling a little , but really worked his way out of it. he'll only get better i think. looking forward to him being in the mix as a starter for the phils in a few years. also, the announcers were raving about tocci (TOE-chee). now i know how to pronounce it. they say he is hitting the ball all over the yard. they said no power, as we all know, but he drives in runs and hitting so well at age 21 in AA. he could be another one in the mix fairly soon.

I cant believe he's still only 21...I feel like he's been in the organization for 15 years.
