Burkholder in the FCL Lineup this morning (along with Walton and Spikerman)
First to grab a hammy wins!
Romeli Espinosa with a hit raises his average to .379. Note he is leading off so the Phillies must like him. From Matt's preview he was not a large bonus guy but is a tall and athletic SS (6'4") with some hard contact. If he is minimizing his swing and miss issues this soon (just turned 17 a couple of weeks ago) we might have a prospect with some projection.
Dante Nori's numbers are trending up...almost up to 250 and gets on base a bunch...
Hopefully he keeps building on it.
I was slightly wrong on the bonus. It wasn't in the initial reporting, but BA had it in the their signing recap thing (https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/philadelphia-phillies-2025-international-signings-review/) and it is $250,000 which isn't a top bonus but is the 7th largest in their class and signals there is something there. I don't think he has looked as good during the season as he did in the Spring, but he does immediately jump out as a guy with physical projection which they really don't have much of.
Anybody no why Aiden Miller hasn't been playing lately?
Reports are that Miller has some sort of skin condition that is keeping him out of the lineup.
