His performance (hopefully?) suggests there is some injury nagging him that’s preventing him from being his best self. Doesn’t seem to be his legs.
If they have to trade any of their high end hitters, Miller would be the most useful to keep for the future to add an impact righty, but nobody has hit the ball as hard as Tait since Howard. I’d keep him over Miller, still expecting Miller to be an impact big leaguer. Tait is profiling prospect-wise like Carlos Santana did, albeit not as a switch hitter.
I have to believe a team like the guardians sees Abel as a guy they can turn into an impact starter next year with their pitcher development. Trouble is I guess they are in dire need of a bat like Miller.
