For those that may be having difficulty gaining access:
Click the Login button:
- in the dialog that opens, click on the "I forgot my password" link
- enter your user name in the second dialog box that opens
- click "Reset Password"
The board will now send you an email, which will contain a link to reset your password. You need to open that email and follow the link it contains. You will have to "reset" your password, although I believe you can use the same one you used in the past if you want to.
If you do not receive an email after you click "Reset Password," it's probably for one of two reasons:
Your email provider, or your own account or client settings, caused the email to be treated as junk/spam, and dumped it into a junk/spam folder. You should check to see if it's in such a folder; or
The email address you have on file with our board is not the email account you're currently using/looking at. If you registered a long time ago with an account you no longer use, or registered with a "junk" email account - that's where the email to reset your password is going. If this is the case, and you can't access that account, you will have to contact us to update the email address associated with your account at philliesphans.
If you can't make it work, email us at philliesphans@gmail.com, describing your problem, and we'll get it fixed - we can update your email account in the board database.
Also...at least some users with xxx@aol.com email addresses have had trouble, because our board's emails don't always seem to get delivered to those addresses. If that's your situation, and you're not getting the email to reset your password...email us, and we'll work with you.
I'm seeing several of you in the logs who have tried the "forgot my password" thing, but not completed the update process. (I've verified that at least one of these failed because the email address we have for that user is no longer active). Email us at the address above - we can fix this, but we need to know your specific situation.
