I'm coming out from the Chicago area for the the home opener. Actually the whole series. It will be my first time out there in almost 20 years. What are some good restaurants/cool places I should check out while I'm in town?

Paesano's is great. Philly is an amazing food town top to bottom, depends what you are looking for. What are some of your faves in chicago?
Also, the many cheesesteak threads are in the archive right?
Monks is one of the best bars I've ever been to. Highly recommend it. Quality quality beer selection.
Thanks, everybody. I'm pretty excited.
Best roast beef is still Nick's original at 20th and Jackson. It's a hole, but wow!
If you dive into the above, I will say that Vernick really is that good (as are Zahav and High Street on Market). Not on the list but of the Vetri restaurants I am fond of Amis.
