A season high 17 hits allow the Phillies to win a one run game.

Good to have a closer but Alvarado and Keller tried their best to blow this game. Mayza gets the win and Duran save #18. Hardly remember Mayza even being in the game.

But a win is a win. Series comes down to the Sunday game with Sanchez going for the Phillies.

Ok, they split the Painter/ Nola games setting them up for Sanchez to help them win the series.

Good night for JT going 3 for 4 with a walk and 4 RBIs. Big home run with two on to seemingly put game out of reach. Of course, the bullpen changed that, but great to see JT hitting as well as many others tonight. Sosa, who I have been down on of late, also had a good game going 3 for 4 with a early solo home run. Marsh also had 3 hits (3 for 5) as did Schwarber (3 for 5 with a walk).

I hope the offense returns tomorrow and the pitching is great.

Hopefully a light bullpen day but in general I think I am ready to elevate Kerkering to the main setup job again and see how he handles it.
