Yeah I think our idea of what constitutes good hitters and a good offense is probably a few years behind the reality of current MLB (and also we don't watch all the other teams struggle to score or chase pitches). See also Trea winning the MLB batting title last year.
That's also why the Phillies haven't been able to find a strong-hitting OF, there just aren't that many of them out there, and OFs in general have become more like middle IFs than corner IFs.
But for comparison's sake, that's why OPS+ exists. The Phillies have three hitters with OPS+ over 120 but 0 over 100. The Dodgers have seven and one (Kyle Tucker at 114). The Padres have four (but only one full-time player) and zero. The Guardians have two and six. Obviously the Phillies need Bohm, Stott and Turner, if not Crawford, to be over 100, just as the Pads need Tatis and Machado to do so.
Garcia and JT are both rough. Garcia's not adding defensive value (even if he's not costing them Iike his predecessor) and JT's hitting like Stubbs lately.
