The weather is MISERABLE. It is really dumb to try and play in this. Especially for Wheeler, your best pitcher, who could get hurt. Call the game off.

Well, there’s heavy rain and light rain…and then there’s thunderstorms. It’s 4:15, and I’m hearing thunder rumbling, in lower Bucks County, now.

Which is a whole other thing. If there is lightning within a certain distance they have to clear the stands too.

I'm less than two miles from the stadium and maybe it's only medium rain, but it's also heavy winds.

It is windy, wet, and cold and no one who knows anything about baseball would want people to play it in these conditions. It's a dangerous sport, one slip on a fastball could really hurt someone. Try some common sense; it's a long season.

Both teams have tomorrow off. A day game tomorrow looks doable.

I don't think they are permitted to reschedule tomorrow by the contract they have with the players (except if it's unavoidable). Reds could fly in later in the year if needed.

I have tickets to the game and haven't made my way down from Center CIty yet. I have someplace I have to be in the morning, so I cannot afford to be out late. They've already said that people with tickets to this game will get a ticket offer early next week. At this point, if I get down there tonight, it will be bonus baseball.

yeah that's the thing if they have to make up the game later it is still going to eat up an off-day but I assume if tomorrow had been a clear-cut option they wouldn't have jumped through all they hoops they did today.

If they do end up playing won't be great for the pitchers either. high chance of starts and restarts etc.

Gelb tweeted earlier that both teams want their off-day, didn't mention the CBA specifically. But I also see people claiming CBP is not available tomorrow. It's possible it was rented for some pre-Wrestlemania stuff (or the parkings lots are).

That must be some wedding! I guess Wrestlemania stuff doesn't start until Saturday afternoon so even if they were doing something (or staging) it wouldn't be tomorrow.

Maybe it's a WWE person's wedding.

That really does seem unusual. Plenty of road stands to book special events, public or private.

They've already announced that fans who had tickets will receive a ticket offer. Fans who stick out for this one should get two ticket offers. I've said heck with it and am on a bus headed home Roxborough.
