I had no expectation I'd be awake to hear the end of this one. Wish to had gone better. 12Ks, 1 BB for the Phils offense. They'll do better tomorrow, I'm sure.

Nothing like winning 6 in a row to get our expectations too high.

Another game tomorrow. No reason the Phillies can't get a win.

Eickhoff not sharp tonight. Bullpen again looked solid. I'm somewhat disappointed with the offense against a pitcher entering the game with an ERA over 8, but they have been doing pretty well of late. Even the best teams have games where they only score 3.

I still like Eikhoff but I wonder if he's reached his plateau and what we see now is what we'll get though it certainly is useful. He never was a top notch prospect. His niche may well be solid 3-4 starter, not a bad thing.

Philly.com article said he didn't have command of his curveball last night. Eikhoff agreed as did Mackanin. I don't know exactly what you mean by reaching his plateau, but I think he is only going to get better. He's only 26 years old.
