Boy. I don't think the platoon advantage is going to make Dylan Moore hit Sale any better than Crawford or Marsh would have. But unless Nola pitches a real gem the game's not going to be won or lost at the bottom of our batting order or on our CF defense either.

He has only gotten a handful of starts but Crawford DOES have platoon splits so far. Would we be better off playing Marsh? Maybe. But all of them are probably below average defensively so there just is not a great solution here.

Playing him just to play him is perfectly justifiable especially if we're not seeing Robbie Ray this week. But I'm not sure a better defensive CF and either Moore or Reyes instead of Bohm wouldn't be better.

It kind of speaks to Thomson's calm about his job status too, IMO. I'm sure people are complaining on social media and WIP (if they're even talking about the Phillies today) because people always complain about Sunday bench or platoon advantage line-ups even when things are going great.
