I guess someone has to start one...

Phils lineup has Knapp catching, the rest standard to this point of the season.

Nats sitting Eaton and Werth.

Roark is through the Phillies' lineup one time perfectly. Hellickson has retired the first 6 he has faced. It's 0-0 middle 3d.

If anyone wants to file a missing persons report on Aaron Altherr, be my guest. Nine plate appearances in ten games--not enough.

Cesar with the go ahead 2 run homer, nice calm bullpen work without Jeanmar pitching.

A well pitched game. Hellickson gets his second win (should be third) and goes 7 innings. Two runs on 4 hits and one walk. Did give up one home run. ERA to 1.59

Neris and Benoit close out the win with a scoreless, hitless, walkless inning each.

Good to break the losing streak.

Hellickson's velocity was down a notch, and his command was average. Veteran pitcher working his way through a good lineup with his "B" stuff and a bit of luck. Some hard hit balls at people.

Just got to keep it going for three months so we can flip him, I just have no confidence in Hellickson over the long haul as more than a solid 4/5, and as Blanton shows, those guys struggle to stay in the rotation in their early 30s.
