QB(4) - Hurts, Dalton, McKee, (PS) Payton - obviously changes with a McKee trade, but this is where we are right now. CUT - nobody
RB(4) - Barkley, Bigsby, Shipley, (PS) Steele - practice squad is up for grabs, but Steele over Pierce for scheme fit. CUT - Pierce, Mitchell
WR(7-8) - Smith, Wicks, Lemon, Brown, Cooper, (PS) Wilson, (PS) Moore, (PS) Covey - could be 6 making the roster (Wilson or Moore) as both could end up on someone else's roster - CUT - Watkins, Gray, Ezukanma, Hayes, Toure
FB/TE (5-6) - Goedert, Mundt, Stowers, Latu, (PS) Jenkins, CUT - Calcaterra, Smart
IOL (6-7) - Jurgens, Steen, Dickerson, Kendall, Majors, (PS) Lampkin, (PS) Wright, (IR4) Morris, (IR) Roberts - obviously, we will see about the IR guys, they could be PS instead CUT - Jordan.
OT (6-7) Mailata, Johnson, Bell, Johnson, Ojukwu, (PS) Hinton, (IR) Williams - CUT - Pierce
DL (6-7) Carter, Davis, Ojomo, Young, Bernard, (PS) Hall, (PS) Wilson - @phillychuck will be happy that I found room for Bernard on this roster although I'm still not sold on this. But Robinson has been getting such negative reviews I have moved him to the cut list. If Robinson makes the team, Bernard is bound for the PS - CUT - Robinson
Edge (6-7) Greenard, Hunt, Smith, Ebiketie, Espinosa, (PS) James-Newby, (PS-IPP) Weru - Greenard could end up IR4, we will have to see in a week or two - CUT - Ramirez
LB (5) - Baun, Campbell, Trotter, Mondon, (PS) Campbell - Campbell could make this ahead of Mondon, but let's see where we are in two weeks - CUT - Lawson
CB (7-8) - Mitchell, Woolen, Jones, McWilliams, Ringo, Bennett, (PS) Gushiken, (PS) Castro-Fields - They like to go heavy at this position, but I could see Jones getting chopped if he totally flops in the preseason. Also, Ringo or Bennett could go and Gray (who I have listed as a S) could stay as a ST specialist - CUT - Thomas, Wade
Nickel (2-3) - DeJean, Carter - CUT - nobody
Safety (4) - Mukuba, Epps, Wisniewski, (PS) Pulley - Wisniewski could be another candidate for IR4 and Sam could end up on the PS again. Gray stays if they cut ties with Ringo - CUT - Sam, Gray
Specialists (3) - Underwood, Mann, Elliott - Underwood is not a vested veteran, so it would be risky to play the PS game with him. You probably don't want to introduce a new LS to your FG unit unless you're forced to.
I have only used one IR4 slots and for sure Howie will use them both, so someone I have on the PS will end up on the roster. Right now the most likely candidates for the IR4 are Greenard, Morris, and Wisniewski, but let's see in another week. Also, if Bernard hits the PS, I still think Weru ends up on the PS, so that will be one less PS spot available (only 1 can be designated IPP).
I have 40 guys in bold above that will be on the roster no matter what unless they are traded (or in Underwood's case, swapped out for another LS) and another 5 guys that seem like they are almost there (F. Johnson, Jones, Espinosa, Shipley, McWilliams), so a lot of competition for the last 8 spots or so on the active roster.
