I'm pretty sure this is to add competition. Booker played snaps last year and I can see him being expendable with Hall starting to come on, but you wouldn't just let him go for nothing. Bennett was a 4th round pick two years ago and has started half the games in his career. Fast, good ball skills, just not the right size profile for the Raiders under Carroll. I think Isaiah Rodgers is a decent comp for him.

No way McCord to the PS.
Not seeing M.Johnson make the 53 - PS all the way.
Would favor Kinnard over Keegan, but they may go heavy and keep both.
Cooks is not making the 53. PS at best. Wilson is making the 53. If anyone is in jeopardy, it's Smith, but I would lean towards Howie keeping him right now (let's see after another couple weeks). Cooper has a far better shot of making it than Cooks.
Too many edges. Only the first 3 and probably APR are on the squad right now. Unless the two O's get moving, no way they are keeping both of these underperformers. Maybe Howie is not done yet.
Ricks is making the 53 - too valuable on STs, and he is a young guy who can cover.
Sam is making the roster before M.Johnson(RB). But maybe not if they go heavy elsewhere.

McCord is not even getting team reps now in camp at QB3--DTR is taking all of those, and McCord has been inaccurate in one-on-one drills when he is throwing.

According to all of the reporters, Cooks has been the best receiver in camp (excepting Smith, AJ, and Dotson), constantly making plays on contested catches, blocking well, and being faster than advertised and running great routes. They may indeed not keep him on the 53, but that would not be based on performance.

Johnson’s injury probably makes making the 53 unlikely.

APR has been invisible in camp, losing reps to the lowest ranked offensive linemen in the 3rd team group. I think he might get cut, period, unless he shows up in the games.

I would take a lot more stock in Howie and the Eagles history in terms of keeping their draft picks, than the Eagles bloggers (hardly any reporters left) view of the first 10 practices.

Their is no way McCord is being exposed to waivers unless he stinks like Clayton Thorson and that is just not the case. DTR is getting showcased for a trade.

Training camp and roster cuts are not a meritocracy here. The Eagles moneyball their roster management and take the view that they are trying to keep the best 69 guys, not 53. I haven't looked at any contract status yet, but there also may be a veteran who doesn't have to pass through waivers end up on the practice squad before finding his way to the 53 after a couple of games.

I said maybe in terms of APR. He's not a lock, but the two Os aren't going to cost the Eagles money to move on from and none of the 3 have looked great so far. One things the Eagles won't do is keep extra guys to hedge their bets when all are mediocre, they'll just cut them all and trust their scouts to upgrade via waivers or trade. I don't see anyway all 6 of those guys are on the roster if things don't change. 5 at best and likely 4.

Hicks is a retread and having a good early camp is not vaulting him past draft picks. He is playing for a PS spot. Cooper is more intriguing as someone who could pop on tape and they have to worry about losing him to another team, but the safer money is on the draft picks. And Wilson has value to the team even if you're not seeing it.

If you are the Saints, he’s got to be worth a boatload of picks...he looks like a veteran, top-flight starter. Stands tall in the pocket, makes good reads, and throws a strong, accurate ball.

Cooper is now WR 5 or 6, Cooks looked like he was pretty badly injured, so he’s out if so.

Lego, I think he’s at least worth a first. If you had the option right now of trading for McKee or picking, say, the third-ranked QB in next year’s relatively good QB draft, I think I’d take McKee. Beat writers on the pods are saying Howie might be willing to trade him, probably in the off-season, for a #1.

And it looks like Arch Manning isn’t going pro anytime soon, according to his family. Saints#1 has to be pretty high!

I think the difference is what he's worth to the Eagles as a backup. The 3rd ranked QB will still be a top 10-15 pick, which is crazy talk for McKee (in my opinion). Obviously if someone wants to give that up, then I would take it.

i would rather roll with McKee as the backup this year, Eagles are a Super Bowl contender & I feel like McKee is a backup that can win games with this team, the "best" available vets are:
