At the same time he still had a fair amount of leverage since the Eagles certainly didn't want to take the $20.5 million cap hit on letting him go. I'm sure he also didn't leave any money on the table from other teams, or at least not any good ones.
Rapaport says there are four teams AJ is willing to be traded to, which suggests he is quietly as eager for it to happen as the Eagles are. I still think it happens in June, and if it doesn't there will be drama (and then it still happens).
