It says they are expanding already (I guess they must have kicked Rothman out?). I would think they will have myriad options to do so further as the development of that area proceeds, though maybe less room on that side of Broad. Not sure how you factor in the practice fields, but not hard to imagine them building an entirely new facility in the long run if the development really happens.

Not to mention that there are whispers about the Eagles possibly being desirous of building a new stadium. As it is, around the NFL, we are seeing teams deem stadiums of the same generation as LFF as inadequate and outdated (Cleveland, Nashville, Chicago and Washington, for example). Once the Commanders build their new stadium, LFF will be the oldest facility in their division (just as CBP is the oldest in the NLE). As hard as it is to believe, the Eagles have already played at LFF only nine fewer seasons that they played at the Vet (23 seasons at LFF, 32 seasons at the Vet). Plus, with the plans of Comcast and the Phillies to turn the Complex into Philadelphia's version of The Battery, the Eagles' plans may be different--NFL teams need seas of parking lots for all the tailgating, not parking garages and places for people to hang out at before or after the game--and it's not out of the question that they nay leave the Complex. For example, some guy has been advocating for them to move to the Franklin Mills Mall space in far Northeast. Regardless, if a new stadium is built elsewhere, a new practice facility could be built along with it.

Anyway, directly across Hartranft Street from the Eagles' practice facility--just north of it--is a CVS and a vacant lot which I suppose is potentially obtainable by the Eagles for an expansion of the training complex.

I thought the Eagles were on board for the new sports complex plan. Goodell was involved in keeping the Sixers there as well, due to the league's ties with NBC. I think the plan would still have a way to build a new Eagles stadium too, assuming they can't just renovate - i.e. put a roof on it. And I don't think the current blueprint calls for the Eagles to lose any of their own surface parking per se, which Comcast doesn't control (they own the Phillies lots). It also looks like the proposed parking ramp alongside 95 would have an open-air top level.

Any reduction in tailgating might be unpopular with fans, but I'm sure the Eagles care more about creating more revenue streams both inside and outside the stadium. And there are supposed to be all kinds of parks and plazas too. Of course this is all very far away in any case.

Whatever Jeffrey Lurie wants to spend of his own money is fine by me. But absolutely no taxpayer dollars for stadiums that are not even 30 years old. That trend is one that needs to stop.

That will be the rub, of course. And even when they say the taxpayers aren't paying for it, we do in various ways even without direct funding. Though, if all of this gets the subway extended to the Navy Yard that's a bit of public infrastructure I wouldn't oppose.

I'll admit, the Wells Fargo Center, coming up on 30 years old, does feel a little stodgy (though there are plenty of stodgier ones). But Lincoln Financial has only been open since 2003 and has plenty of bells and whistles and luxury stuff. They should just put roof on it if that's Lurie's dream (for Super Bowl among other things).

Wow...Woolen is about as good of a CB as we could have hoped for. Very solid this year with Seattle when he played (got benched for a while), and a former pro-bowler. Still young.

Article says Ravens may just try to change the terms. Hardly unheard of. I don't think Ravens would be allowed to share their report, but Eagles would get their own (plus, gossip).

Technically it's how the Phillies got Luzardo (Cubs backed out of a trade due to medical concerns). And how the Blue Jays signed Jeff Hoffman after two other teams bailed on him.

I saw the comments about possibly failing the physical as the reason. However, I also read he can’t officially take the physical until tomorrow as that’s when the new league season officially starts. Very odd

The ESPN piece says he took the physical, it's just that the trade itself was not official. The piece has a lot more info now, it includes a quote from Neil ElAttrache (Harper's doctor too) referencing the fact that the Ravens already evaluated him. He and Crosby's agent say he's fine. Either they legit didn't like what they saw since he's not yet recovered from the surgery or they are just trying to change the terms.

Taking on Crosby's contract AND giving up 2 1sts including a very high pick this year was not ideal. Signing Trey Hendrickson and keeping that draft capital does seem like a much wiser decision. Raiders are suddenly in a tough spot since they now know they won't be getting 2 1sts and already allocated a lot of cap space to free agent signings. That Balt early 1st in this year's draft would have really helped their rebuild

I like this a lot better than the projections I'm seeing in the media. Ridiculous projections which have us leading off with a WR and CB in whatever order. You put our top needs first with good prospects. You give us two long shots at TE -- we are going to sign Goedert or a FA there. A WR as our 4th guy is fine, since we've needed a #3 WR. Stephens a good shot at backup if we have the injury problems we did this past season. I'm glad Dickerson is back but don't trust his health. Proctor a plus get -- I'm not counting on close to a full season from Lane. But -- weren't you the guy who wanted nothing to do with Allar. I'd look at a kicker in that spot.

I’m changing my mind daily about Allar. Hated him at PSU, thought he was a blockhead, but lately I’m wondering if he just was working in a bad, bad situation there. He’s a lottery ticket for sure, might stink, might be a good #2. I looked at kickers last draft but there is not much to choose from in the top 4 or 5, so you can sign one as a UDFA. I guess Zvada would be the play there.

I’m adamantly against Allar. There are basic things a top-skilled quarterback has or does not have at an elite level and he doesn’t have them. The number of times I saw him throw across his body or off his back foot or into horrible coverages in big game situations is innumerable to count. Personally, I hope A.J. stays and think his situation is overblown. I am worried about our O-line though.

I got lucky with this mock, getting Fano, Howell and Smith where I did. Demmings and Coleman JR. are favorite sleeper picks of mine. Allar is polarizing, but he undebatably has tools, I agree with PC, he was in a bad position in PS, especially with lack of talent at WR during his time there. As a third string development QB, I think he could be taught up to match his mental game with his physical traits. Certainly worth a flyer with the 215th pick.
