They are pretty much what I expected them to be offensively without Lane Johnson. Without him, our line is mediocre. The announcers give Peters his due, but is performance is slipping and Kelce has really slipped. The tight ends are good, the RBs are fine, the QB is a revelation, but the WRs are subpar.
Biggest negative today has been the awful run defense and Mills in the first half. Some dumb penalties -- the Cox roughing penalty was obvious and a killer. The D was on the field too long today, because the offense was bad.
We should have been 4-0 coming into today. Last week's loss can be put down to team discipline for an off-field infraction and some coaching issues, and the refs.
Today was the first bad game, but the penalties continue to mount the past two games. With Johnson out, the next 9 games are not going to be pretty. We have a lot of holes to fill before next season.
