I didn't watch The Wire (which is a life leak).

Gotta be a top-10 all time show, I must rewatch the series nearly once a year. Just amazing how they did it with such a large cast of unknown actors that added to the authenticity, and British actors I didn’t realize were British until many years later.

That was so nuts at the time. Now I just assume they are all British (or Australian). Most of them on Task, a show set in Delco, for instance (and obviously the lead in Mare of Easttown as well but everyone already knew that).

I will definitely try to watch it although The Pitt is coming up next week.

Looks like the 25th Hour came out the first year of The Wire. Not a movie for everyone, but the cast was very good with Edward Norton, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Barry Pepper, Rosario Dawson, Anna Paqiin, Brian Cox, and .... Tony Siragusa

Still, I remember the scene with Whitlock very well.

Hard to believe that back in those days, even goalies played without helmets or masks.

I addressed this on another forum, but curved sticks weren't really a thing when he played (or at least not until the end of his playing days). It's not as big of a deal as it seems, which is not meant to take away from his accomplishments. But, Ian Laperriere got ~75 stitches, lost several teeth, and came back into the game a period later. Curved sticks changed a lot in hockey.
