2018 Interleague Schedule

Been thinking about what the interleague schedule may look like next season for road and home splits and Kruk just wondered the same thing on today's broadcast. By the rotation standpoint, we are due to play the entire AL East. Unsure how this effects our "natural rivalry" with Boston that is separate from the rotation. Best guess may be a home and home 4 gamer with the Yankees, away at the Sox, at the Rays and Jays, and the Orioles coming in.

Anyone good at predicting how the schedule works?

Also wonder if the Phillies would be in line to play in the Little League Classic next season if this year's event is successful in Williamsport.

Regardless of what MLB thinks, the Red Sox are not the natural rival for the Phillies. It would make much more sense to put Oakland in that spot since they were once a Philadelphia team.

Having these so-called natural rivals just adds another element of UNFAIRNESS to the schedule.

Phils lost their obvious rival when the Nats started. Could be worse, Atlanta's is Toronto.

The Phillies and Braves alternate between the Red Sox and Blue Jays as "traditional rivals", albeit default rivals.

I'm still pretty salty about 1993 so Toronto makes some sense.

Back in the day when the Phillies played at old Jack Russell Stadium, the Phillies' and Blue Jays' ST parks were just a long walking distance away from each other (2.3 miles, 46 minutes, per Google Maps). Heck, some would not even consider that to be a long walk.
