I think the Phillies do have enough to trade for a starter or an OF primarily using players off of last year's 25-man roster, especially if they also add a veteran reliever (meaning, they could always throw in one of the bullpen arms if it helps a package since they do have a ton of them, at least until the 40 is set for sure).
It's all relative of course. You want Kluber you're not going to be able to protect the farm. You want Carrasco, maybe there's a path.
I'm just assuming the Yankees are getting Corbin, especially if they don't get one of the top two bats.
Everything coming out now is definitely grain of salt though, that Rosenthal column is full of wishful thinking by agents IMO. And that includes everything we've read about our own team too (like the idea that they would get all three of the top FAs).
