You can evaluate/comment about anything you like. I think what I'm doing is questioning the usefulness of such evaluation/comment, not the propriety, per se.
Wasn't my comment; it was yours. I take your response here as a way of confirming (by deflection) that yes, you were engaging in hyperbole. I just don't think that strengthens an argument.
And yes, for the record, I would have liked to see Hellickson moved last July, for value. It didn't happen. I'm just not willing to make any assertion about what that "means" in terms of the long-term goals of the organization. If you, and others, want to do that, absolutely, feel free. But you know, you've (all of you) made these points repeatedly in the past eleven months. There's literally nothing new of any substance here.
I would like to think that philliesphans is a place where fans come to share insights, to get information that other fans may have, to become more enlightened and perceptive fans. I think we do a pretty good job covering transactions, drafts, signings, etc. - ferreting out and compiling information that may not be obvious (or at least not systematically collected) elsewhere. I guess I don't see that repeating the same arguments about the past, over and over again every few weeks, really adds much to that.
