Disgusting watching Galvis stand at the plate for a full second before trotting toward first on a pop up. When ball is misplayed, Rupp goes first to third. Blanco comes through with double and Phillies appear to take a 3-2 lead, but replay rules it was a ground rule double so Galvis sent back to third and Phillies only tie game in top of the 8th in NY.
Good teaching point on why you run hard on every play every time!
ADDED: Turns out that not scoring the go ahead run in the 8th allowed the Phillies to score 4 in the top of the tenth and defeat the Mets in ten, 6-2. Doesn't look like there was a game thread for tonight, so I added my game observations/comments in this post.
I am still optimistic that this team is on the cusp of becoming a winning team.
