Yeah, I read every thread. If you don't there's a much higher likelihood you're either missing stuff you are interested in or you're being forced to read stuff you don't want to read, both of which are less than ideal I realize.
But I suspect if we had more, more specific threads, it wouldn't necessarily stop the drift, just create more threads. For instance the simple news of Nava's injury (and it's likely aftermath, including trade chances) or the current Herrera kerfuffle could easily be their own threads. Discussing the performance of the pitching coach could be its own thread. I think it would be cool, makes it easier to look up old posts too (unlike in this 1300+ thread) but would we really stay on topic, and/or return to them a week or two later?
It's too bad transferring posts is harder on the new board, that's one thing that seemed to work pretty well before.
I guess we could start by starting a thread about staying on-topic in threads
