Watching last nights game was fun. Yes, we lost late, but...
Embiid is already seen as the "go to guy". No doubt about who the ball was going through when things were on the line. He made some simply unstoppable plays.
Henderson is doing a nice job of being the "veteran guy" at the start, and he still has some stuff left in the tank.
Saric looked really good as an energy guy, made some nice plays
Rodriguez was fantastic. I was (am?) highly critical of the signing, but his first game was more than solid. I wish he would do a little less soft passing, some of them worked but in the NBA the athleticism is so high that you cannot float passes as often as you can in the spanish league. He controlled the team very, very well.
TJ McConnell was just awful. Bad passing, the team basically collapsed every time he came on the floor. He has the worst +/- on the team and it was even worse if you watched the game. Just 1 game but not a good start.
Jeremi Grant was all over the place when he was on the court. Made mistakes but he is also a high energy guy who made things happen
Okafor disappeared. He needs to step up to Embiid's level of play frankly.
Adding 10-12 more minutes of Embiid, 15 more minutes of Okafor (that we saw last year), Simmons and hopefully Noel and I still think we have a good team with immense promise. If this team can come together they may make the playoffs and with the guys all getting more experience during the year might be a VERY dangerous lower seed as they should be much better by the end of this season.
Every time Embiid goes to the floor the enter stadium goes completely silent.
