Whoa, I hadn't seen, was watching Sixers.
I don't follow super-closely but I'm pretty sure their advanced stats and peripherals have stunk all year, things were just breaking their way. But PP has just been okay, defense misses Niskanen, and of course Hart is not taking the next step. And who knows what role the COVID outbreak played (whether because of the virus or the interruptions/inactivity). Seems like that might be the thing that caught up to them tonight, as far as the compressed schedule. Rangers were also coached by Kris Knoblauch tonight, ouch!
Still some pleasant surprises but they didn't really do much to improve what was probably an overachieving team; that was supposed to come from the guys coming off of cancer and a concussion, which was maybe too much to expect. More from the young defense they might have been able to expect.
