Flyers draft picks currently losing (which is to say, winning) in both games tonight.

I don't think Torts lost the team, I think he just burned out.

I don't care what is said in the media. Torts was gone with Michkov and Couts saying that he was trying to do what best for the team.

Peter DeBoer has never lost a Game 7, so there's that at least. I'm afraid there's still a decent chance that Edmonton pick goes to 29 or 30.

To me the real problem here is, if Torts was obviously such a bad coach/dinosaur from the get-go, and his presence was so toxic for both the franchise and the locker room, why would you trust the front office that handed him the team for the past two seasons to get the next hire right?

Carter Sotheran's season is over, had a nice PO run, Flyers should sign him the next few days, big RHD.
Noah Powell had a disappointing season, struggled at Ohio State, didn't do much when he returned to CHL, but has played much better in the POs and is headed to a showdown with London.
Barkey's been injured the last couple games.
Bonk has had a solid PO, but with two offensive D-men in Dickinson and Allen, doesn't get the opportunity to put up big numbers.

I don't really have a choice.

I guess an argument could be made that getting the players to not like the coach brings them more together as a team?

Who do you all want to win tonight? Would you rather have the Jets still in it in case Vegas cannot stop Edmonton or would you rather St Louis advance with the chance to advance one more time and leap past Colorado and Edmonton in the draft? Normally I would pull for the Jets but I’m feeling greedy about the draft.

Minority opinion, I still would rather have a rooting interest in the playoffs than root for a couple of spots in the draft. The Stars are my second team (lived in Texas for a long team, even had season tix in '99 though it was still not that fun to celebrate a non-Flyers Cup win). If it's not them I'd rather see Winnipeg come out of the West, though St. Louis is the easier draw on paper. I wouldn't root for the Blues/Flyers draft position over the Stars.

If Carolina winning helps the Flyers I'm all for that since I still pull for #17 and wouldn't root for the Caps (any more than the Pens or Rangers or Devils) anyway.

Rooting for a Carolina - Winnipeg SCF

Glad Dallas knocked Colorado out, sick of the Makar and MacKinnon slobbering by the media.

Florida - Carolina ECF would be my hope, that would be a great series. Edmonton - Winnipeg in the West would be epic as well granted Scheffele comes back healthy.

Winnipeg wins the Cup and Canada celebrates for the first time since 1993.

EDM-WPG would be great for Canada, but that one is simpler for me. Oilers losing is the only single thing that needs to happen to be better for the Flyers. Everything else requires multiple things.

Of course the Leafs in the Cup would also be great for Canada so long as the whole country could root for Winnipeg or Edmonton again them.

Jets sure look on the ropes right now, but so did the Stars.

Jets are the walking wounded now (Scheifele still out, Morrissey knocked out in 1st period) and Dallas gets Heiskanen and Robvertson back for this series.

Need to root for VGK over Edmonton, if Edmonton wins, that picks becomes 29-32.
Then CAR and/or FLA into CF finals, if they both make it, pushes Colorado and Edmonton (if they lose) down two slots.
Wildcard, Ottawa has to choose whether to forfeit their 2025 or 2026 1st rd pick.
