Not sure Briere wants to make the playoffs next year, rather, most of the major subtraction moves have been made.
However, Hathaway (2yr), Seeler (2yr, NTC expires), Risto (2yr) will be made available, either this summer, next TDL or next summer - though they might extend Poehling at the right price (27 next season, 3 year deal?). Depends on how fast some kids are ready:
Wisdon/Grebenkin - Hathaway
Grans/Bonk - Risto
McDonald - Seeler
I don't see major acquisitions this summer, Bennett the only player who'd make sense, but he'll be expensive.
They have Couts (33), Sanheim (30), TK (28), they don't need to add veterans close to 30 making big money.
More likely a veteran or two as a bridge on a short-term (2-3 year) deal.
I think it'll be more of an ongoing audition, depending on how fast prospects progress at LHV.
[Jett], Bump, Barkey, Grebenkin, Wisdom, maybe Gaucher at RW (too slow for center but big, smart, fairly skilled),
Bonk, Grans, Samson, McDonald, Sotheran? (hasn't signed yet, still in WHL POs).
Lycksell can be a FA, one to watch is Powell (RW), disappointing season but playing well in OHL playoffs.
