It's a long season, and Tocchet is still implementing his system and figuring out what lines work.
Michkov needs to get into shape, just compare him to Zegras who is busting his butt out there.
Zegras is a work in progress, I think Dvorak is there to "hold his hand," while he develops better defensive instincts and improves his FOs.
Jett got buried by Winnipeg, I think they want to see him against easier competition before making a decision.
Abols was a nice TC story, but he's just not a NHL 4C, maybe 4LW with the right center.
Buium has some nice short area qualities, good vision, nifty on his skates, but didn't strike me as a dynamic play driver. Should excel in the PP, reminds me of Ghost after his knees went, when he still has the vision and short area agility, but could not longer outskate his mistakes. He should be a solid player who'll garner PP points, but not the elite player many projected him to be. There's a reason he dropped in the draft.
Tippett gets a lot of abuse from fans, but he won that game, not just the goal, but dug the team out of a hole, when Minn had those two PPs, then had the Flyers on their heels in their D-zone for 3-4 minutes, Tippett takes the puck into the O-zone, dekes two defenders and just misses on a backhand and forces a FO. That allowed the Flyers to regroup. He can be erratic, but he also drives play and has a nonstop motor. Tocchet has him attacking the net more instead of shooting from 20+ feet.
