Not sure I get the point.
Today's game:
They didn't look as good, Bonk didn't play and they sat Barkey.
Bump and Grebenkin pretty much repeated their performance, Grebenkin especially with some nice passes and good puck control.
Samson had a nice goal, he can shoot, he's skating better, but still inconsistent. Just turned 22 in August. I expect he'll be in the top 4 in LHV.
No one else really stood out in a 5-2 loss.
Gill, Nesbitt and Gard are too young to put much stock in these two games.
Barkey, Bump and Grebenkin will be the leading contenders for the two open forward spots along with Abols and Luchanko.
None of the D-men showed enough that they'll have much of a shot next week at winning a job over Andrae, Zamula and Grans.
Gaucher and Dowart will get a long look this season to see if they can push for 4C in 2026.
Gendron and Tuomaala have shown they can score goals, but to win jobs they have to forecheck and play defense, that'll be watched this season in LHV.
Murchison and McDonald are auditioning for a possible defense first slot across from Grans, Bonk, Gill and Amico, next season.
Samson needs some polish, better passing, more consistent defense, but he's shown improvement.
However, note these players were missing:
2023 draft: Michkov, Bonk, Zavragin, Knuble, Ciernak
2024 draft: Jett, Berglund, Ruohonen, Powell
2025 draft: Martone, Amico, Murtagh, Vansaghi, Westergard
(4) 1st rd, (4) 2nd rd picks not playing.
