I am not sure I would downplay the Nori-Burkholder comparison so much. One could actually say that Wood is a relatively high floor first round pick even if the risk in his long term value is not low ceiling like Nori. His risk is as much health. And Fisher is actually a good pitching comp for Burkholder as an athletic guy with good raw tools that is just going to need time to develop.
I noticed the small school trend too. Maybe the Otto Kemp experience is swaying them a bit, but it is really natural to hope their own scout sees something more in a small school kid who is less exposed to other scouts.
