You are asking for risks on expected bonuses, they had $2.3M left after Miller. Essentially you are saying you want a 2 or 3 player draft if you are going into those large bonus pools for falling HS arms. One thing that Barber has done, and probably where you are running into problems with his drafts, is that he does not really waste picks. They signed someone for $22,500 last year and a pair at $72,500 (which got them to Boyd's money), but in 2021 just like 2023 he did not go for a deep cut player on Day 2. In the last 3 Almaraz drafts they gave bonuses under $10,000 to Rudy Rott, McCarthy Tatum, Seth Lancaster, Madison Stokes, Jack Zoellner, and Connor Brogdon. Brogdon has been good, the others have largely not been anything beyond org guys since they signed.
