I admit I am a bit curious as to whether they use 100% of their pool for their 19 draft picks or try to save $100K to make a better offer to an undrafted free agent. That is a new thing this year. The ability to make that $200K-$250K offer to any kid in the country gives them much more flexibility than in the past when they might pick one draftee in the 21-40 range (like Logan O'Hoppe) to offer a bit more to.
I don't think any of their picks in the 11-20 rounds are right for the new junior college draft and follow.
I tend to agree. Boyd (11) and Rincon (14) are the only HS draftees in this group ā and both have JC commitments (and do not have commitments to baccalaureate institutions) ā but both appear to want to get on with things.
