Every group of Sixers fans has an Embiid detractor (or several).
To be fair to him right now, he had surgery in the offseason and still dropped 25 lbs of weight. One point for him.
He has played three games sInce then, two of which were preseason affairs. He’s played well and moved well in those two, the first “real” game against Boston was a bad one. Two points for, a point against. Again, though, to be fair, I don’t know how much could be expected of any 7’2” human recovering from his second meniscus surgery.
He looked slow? Of course he looked slow; he looked slow the year he won his MVP. He’s a center, not a point guard. Jokic looks slow every night. No points either way.
I understand that some fans just want to move on--that’s not a practical pathway in the NBA since he commands a significant percentage of the Sixers’ salary cap. I’d advise being patient and letting things work out the way they will. Fans don’t get any credit for saying, “See, I told you he would fail!”
