Mead is very good. Not Mike Trout good though. A reference to Evan Longoria in the piece sounds a little closer. Trout had 80 speed and like 70 power though.
I do wonder where he will end up like anybody else. If the Phillies still had them we would be saying he has no place in LF with Schwarber and Castellanos and that he is as bad defensively at 3B as Bohm (maybe even worse). I can't imagine we would have NOT decided to sign Trea Turner (thinking a Stott at SS and Mead at 2B lineup was our future).
In Phillies world, assuming we could have developed his hit tool like Tampa (yes that is a big assumption), I think we trade him like we traded O'Hoppe for something else we need. Of course we got a major league starter for O'Hoppe.....
